The Award is presented to someone who is making a large impact in the music industry with their original songs. John Mayer won the award in 2006.
When presenting Tay with the award, John told the crowd, ”You could put her in a time machine in any era and she would have a hit record. Don’t confuse everybody loving one thing as hype. Sometimes that’s everyone agreeing that it’s fabulous.”

So now, not only is Taylor herself nominated, but Fearless(Album) and Fifteen(Country Song) have been nominated for a Teen Choice Award. Not only does she have music nominations, but also some noms for her recent movie Valentine’s Day. Taylor Swift: Comic Book Star

Bluewater Productions Inc., an independent production company that makes comics and the like for young adults, is creating a Taylor Swift comic book as part of its series called Fame. The Fame series fictionally tells the biographies of relevant people in pop-culture. It will show her childhood and rise to stardom, and even feature the infamous VMA incident with Kanye West.
Fame: Taylor Swift comic book is part of a series of graphic biographies featuring the stories of soccer star David Beckham, former US First Lady Hillary Clinton , and Lady Gaga.

On Tuesday night, Taylor Swift joined forces with Miley Cyrus, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and even Sandra Bullock for the charity show Nashville Rising: A Benefit Concert for Flood Recovery, at the Bridgestone Arena. The artists teamed up in an effort to raise money to help the Nashville area, which was devastated by floods earlier this spring.
